A pioneering initiative
The Galician Department of Education, University and Vocational Training, in collaboration with Feuga, has set up the following programmes: GESCI (Strategic Management of Research Centres and Units) and GOSCI (Operational Management in Research Centres and Units).
A high-level training initiative targeting research entities intended to increase competitiveness, excellence and ensure ongoing improvements for research centres in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. The programme seeks to boost their efficiency and secure achievements with a growing scientific and technological impact.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF RESEARCH CENTRES AND UNITS
A unique programme that meets the current and future needs of the research centre / unit directors, providing a 360º view of their organizations.
Gosci Managers
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN RESEARCH CENTRES AND UNITS
An essential programme for research centre and unit managers aimed at optimising managerial results and guaranteeing ongoing improvements.
Teaching staff
GESCI and GOSCI will have an international teaching panel, made up of exceptional professionals whose talent, knowledge and management experience have positioned them at the forefront of their areas of expertise.

The drawing up of a series of methodological guides to support the implementation of improvements in key aspects of the strategic management of research centres and units.

Expert post-training advice
This advisory service aims to facilitate and accelerate the particular processes of change in each centre or unit. It will provide support for fundamental aspects of institutional and scientific appraisal, an essential tool in the drive for excellence.
This service will be provided by an executive committee comprising outstanding professionals at the forefront of key areas in strategic management for centres.
It will be available for 6 months following completion of the training and will consist of 300 hours’ advice per academic course to be distributed among participating research centres / units.
