Counsellor for Science and Innovation of Spain to the European Union at the Permanent Representation since 2018. Associate Professor in Management and Economics at the Carlos III University of Madrid (on leave).

She has been Director General for R&I policies at the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness (Spain) and Deputy Director General of Planning and Monitoring both at the Ministry of Economics and Ministry for Science and Innovation. Her research interest include topics and issues related to the economics and management of science and technology, knowledge production and transfer, management of intellectual property rights, and recently on new metrics and impact of research and innovation together with the effects of digital transformations and open science in knowledge production, data science and data sharing.

Degree in Business Administration and Management from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
